SEO content writing services

SEO content writing services without writing the briefs.

Short answer: you can buy SEO content on platforms like Textbroker from 2.3¢ per word, from freelance writers at 25–45¢ per word for blog posts (EFA 2026 median range), or through a managed content service. Claire is a fourth route, your AI colleague for visibility in ChatGPT and Google: she finds the topics, writes blog posts and guides in your voice, checks facts, publishes after your approval and shows you the results, up to 30 articles a month from €199. Claire does not write product descriptions, category pages or homepage copy.

What Claire writes

Blog posts and guides. No product copy.

Up front, so you don’t buy the wrong thing: Claire writes articles for your blog or resource section. She does not write copy for store or website pages.

01

What Claire writes

Articles that answer your customers’ questions and are built to be found on Google and in AI answers. Claire picks the format per topic:

  • Guides and how-tos
  • Step-by-step tutorials
  • Explainers on industry terms
  • Comparisons and buying guides
  • Idea and example lists
  • Templates with explanations
  • Strategy pieces for decision makers
02

What Claire doesn’t write

Claire publishes as posts to your blog, not into the product or page templates of your store or CMS. So these are not part of her job:

  • Product descriptions
  • Category page copy
  • Homepage, service and about pages
03

Where Claire publishes

Straight to your blog: connect WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix or Shopware once, and posts arrive fully formatted, with a cover image and internal links. If your site runs on another system, Claire hosts the blog on a subdomain of your site.

Four routes

SEO content writing services: the routes and what they cost.

Calculated for a 1,300-word post, the average length in Orbit Media’s 2026 blogging survey. Prices as published by each provider, retrieved on October 8, 2026.

01

Content platform: about $30 to $208 per post

You post an order with topic, keyword and outline, and freelance writers on the platform pick it up. Textbroker charges 2.3–9.0¢ per word by quality level, so $30–$117 per post. Verblio charges $0.06 per word for hybrid human-plus-AI content (plus a $49.50 monthly fee) or $0.16 for human-only, so $78 or $208. WriterAccess starts at $49 a month plus 5¢ per word.

Cheap per piece. Topics, briefs, review and publishing stay with you.

02

Freelance writer: $325 to $585 per post

The Editorial Freelancers Association surveyed more than 1,100 members for its 2026 rate chart. For blog posts written as work for hire, the median range is 25–45¢ per word or $74.50–$87.50 an hour. For 1,300 words that is $325–$585.

You get one person who learns your topics. Topics, coordination and publishing are agreed with them.

03

Managed content service: from $449 a month plus content

Platforms also sell managed service, where their team handles topics, writers and orders for you. WriterAccess lists managed solutions starting at $449 a month, with content priced separately at 4¢ to $1.00+ per word. Textbroker’s managed service starts at a $2,500 project budget.

Often includes strategy and editing. How much differs a lot, so ask.

04

Claire: €199 a month for up to 30 posts

Claire is our own product. She derives topics from your website and your customers’ questions, writes, checks facts and publishes to your CMS. You approve each post or let her publish on her own.

Start costs €199 and Growth, with SEO strategy and AI visibility tracking, €299 a month (about $223 and $334 at the ECB rate of October 8, 2026). No setup fee, cancel monthly. Claire is built by wordsmattr in Vienna and bills in euros.

Honestly

When a content platform or a writer is the better choice.

Claire is not the right fit for every piece of copy. In these cases you are better off elsewhere.

01

You need product descriptions

For hundreds of products in the same pattern, a content platform is hard to beat per piece: 300 words on Textbroker cost $6.90 to $27 depending on quality level. Claire does not write product copy.

02

Your homepage or tagline has to sell

Homepage, service pages and taglines need someone who works out your positioning with you in conversation. That is what a copywriter or agency is for.

03

A feature needs interviews

If a piece rests on conversations with your experts or customers, a specialist writer or journalist is the better choice. Claire works with what is publicly available and in your documents.

04

You need a single piece

A subscription does not pay off for one article. Order it on a platform or from a writer. Claire pays off when posts should go out regularly.

Checklist

How to compare quotes for SEO content.

A per-word price says little until you know what it includes. These six questions make quotes comparable.

01

Who finds the topic?

On platforms you supply topic and keyword. Ask whether keyword research and a topic plan are included.

02

Who writes the brief?

A good brief takes time. If you write it yourself, count your hours.

03

How many revisions are included?

Agree on how many rounds of edits are included and how fast they come back.

04

Who checks facts and sources?

In guides especially, correct numbers and traceable sources matter, for your readers and for AI answers that should cite you.

05

Who publishes?

Formatting, images, meta data, internal links and adding the post to your CMS take time per post. Ask whether that is included.

06

Who owns the content?

Get usage rights in writing. With Claire, everything that was published stays on your website and belongs to you, even if you cancel.

Do I have to review every post?

Only if you want to. You can read, comment on and approve every post before it goes live, or put Claire on autopilot.

Does Google penalize AI content?

Not for being written with AI. Google says: “Appropriate use of AI or automation is not against our guidelines.” Generating content primarily to manipulate rankings is (Google Search Central Blog, February 8, 2023).
